Staff Welfare Society

A parliamentary office that champions equity and inclusiveness must apply those values within its own walls. The Staff Welfare Society exists to ensure that the people who drive the work of the Office of the Leader of the Opposition are supported, recognised, and cared for. The Society organises fund-raising activities, group insurance schemes, and recreational programmes that build team cohesion and support staff wellbeing. These are not peripheral activities. Staff who feel valued bring greater commitment and energy to their work. A motivated, united team is the foundation on which every other initiative in this office is built, and the Welfare Society is one of the ways we invest in that foundation throughout 2026.
